CONNECT WITH YOUR STUDENTS

All educators communicate—not all educators connect!  The ability to connect does not come from a personality type, a performance style or a strategy of pedagogy.  Connecting is about relating to, identifying with, and ultimately, influencing.  Connecting is relationship.  Connecting comes from having a genuine concern about your students.  A leadership principle throughout the ages says that if we help people first get what they want then we will eventually get what we want.  Let’s help our students get what they want!  We all want value, purpose, love, affirmation and respect!
