BIRTHDAYS ARE AWESOME!

Today is my birthday!  Honestly, I’ve had a few in my life (written with a guttural chuckle). I don’t know about your birthdays, but ever since I married my wife 22 years ago, my actual birthday is an entire day of surprises and special treatment.  It’s not just a lunch or dinner with a couple of presents—it’s an entire day.  And the same is true for every member of my family.  From the time we wake up, to the time we go to bed, our birthday truly is a time of feeling loved, valued and cherished.  Not so for many of our students.  I encourage you to make your students’ birthdays something to remember.
